Meet Dr. Kimberly Cockerham
Dr. Kimberly Cockerham earned her bachelor’s degree in biology, with honors, from the University of California-San Diego. She pursued her medical degree at George Washington University School of Medicine, where she was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Dr. Cockerham interned with the Department of Surgery at Letterman Army Medical Center, then pursued a residency and fellowship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. She was also part of the Ophthalmology and Neurosurgery departments at Allegheny General Hospital. She served as Chief of Oculoplastics at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and UCSF. She served as an Adjunct Associate Clinical Professor at Stanford School of Medicine for over a decade while in private practice in Northern California.
Dr. Cockerham has joined Prestera Eye Medical Group as a part-time Oculoplastic and Orbital Reconstructive Surgery Specialist. Dr. Cockerham is experienced with a variety of treatments for eye diseases and ocular conditions.
In addition to Dr. Cockerham’s medical and fellowship experience, she has a history of government service. Dr. Cockerham was an active-duty officer and physician in the U.S. Army Medical Corps and consulted for the Veterans Administration Health Care System.
